Tiktok Fitness
A strategic partnership that delivered a 30% leap in the fitness brand’s stock.
Project Overview
Gravity Road conceived and brokered a long-term, multi-market partnership between Peloton and TikTok, marking a shift in how fitness brands show up in culture. The objective was to drive both visibility and performance by embedding Peloton within the creator economy at scale.
The partnership was built around a shared belief: fitness should be accessible, flexible and culturally relevant. Reflecting Peloton’s 'Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere' proposition, the strategy leaned into the way fitness now lives online — shaped by trends such as #hotgirlwalk and driven by community rather than convention. Proximity to TikTok gave Peloton real-time cultural insight, allowing the brand to move at the speed of the feed.
Execution combined original Peloton content with creator collaborations, Branded Missions and talent discovery for new instructors. Mindfulness prompts were introduced natively within TikTok, designed to interrupt scrolling and encourage immediate action — turning passive attention into participation.
All activity linked directly to Peloton’s evolving app ecosystem, supported by exclusive offers. The partnership reinforced Peloton’s shift from a hardware-led model to a software-first platform, broadening its appeal with younger audiences. Launched in January 2024 across the US, UK and Australia, the work demonstrated how platform partnerships can turn cultural relevance into sustained performance.
Creative Approach & Execution
The execution involved original Peloton content, extensive collaborations with creators, Branded Missions, and even talent searches for new instructors. Exclusive branded mindfulness prompts were introduced to encourage users to stop scrolling, get up, and exercise.
